Kirk Brown
Kirk Brown is award-winning freelance writer with two decades of diverse media experience. He has worked as a reporter and editor at daily newspapers and also served as the managing editor of a scuba diving magazine. In addition, Brown has written the scripts for more than 50 half-hour television programs focusing on an array of technology and health topics. Most recently he was the scriptwriter for Waging War on Cancer, a series hosted by well-known news anchor Paula Zahn that is airing on PBS stations across the nation. His work also has appeared on the Patient Channel, a free broadcasting service available in 1,800 premier hospitals throughout North America.
Brown is a native Iowan who spent 18 years living and working in Florida. He, his wife and their son now live in Anderson, South Carolina. An avid outdoors enthusiast, Brown spends spend as much time as he can hiking and camping in the nearby Blue Ridge mountains.
